Tomorrow morning I leave for another country for ten days of various meetings. Honestly, I am looking forward to this like a bad case of botulism. That isn’t because I don’t want to see the people that I will meet there or that the meetings are unimportant. It is because I will be away from my family for that time. Also, the weather here has been rather bad. This morning (around 2:30 am) I drove a co-worker’s wife and children to the airport as the roads and especially the bridges were being covered with snow. One thing a native Georgian should not do is drive in snow and ice, but God was with us and I made it to the airport safely and back home. Tomorrow, I make that trip again but this time a Chicago native should be driving.
While away it is probable that I will not have access to this blog. I believe the country that I am going to restricts WordPress. I wanted to share a couple of links. Both of these blogs make reference to one of my favorite devotional books, The Valley of Vison. One shares what he never wants to do in 2008. The other shares a a New Year’s prayer.
